For those of you who, thank goodness, have come here from Facebook or FetLife:

The originator of the defamatory claim that I have not travelled posted very heavily as merrywitch throughout that part of my journal, and for a while after. It's quite clear who she is, that it is she.
I trust that all of you now know how these sites work well enough -note the time-stamping of the comments in here, in particular- to realise that this stuff is absolutely up-front and real. |

Hi all!
I seem to have migrated completely over to Facebook (where I am Ruth Helen Lawrence) and Fetlife (where I am Ruth), but I haven't forgotten those of you who are only in here.
Unfortunately my mother has come down with Alzheimer's disease so I just can't keep up the way I used to do. |

Ever since they changed the profile page very much for the worse in here I've been quite put off coming in and reading it.
There was also an odd kind of silence, as in Usenet these days. Almost an impersonality.
Of course I've been caught up very much in something else, but now am past ready to step back from such intense involvement.
Anyway, I'm now experiencing the happy early days of actually doing Facebook, where I see lots of you are.
I can't say I didn't know a few were there as I received the occasional invitation, but was not aware how vibrantly full it is with my favourite folks.

Over in FetLife, the poisonous ex has told someone who lost close family in the bushfires that she grew up in Kinglake.
Funny, she has told me and others I know she grew up in New Zealand.
Anyone calls her on it: years of revenge.
edit: and now she has written elsewhere on the same site that she is from Invercargill, probably forgetting that over in there one cannot alter or delete comments in other journals or in communities. So...I begin to let it go. There will be others with a memory as good as mine (it isn't so great, really). |
